Teaching a class this week. My last one that I am teaching for the Pulling for Progress class.

The kids are going trick or treating. Jake is taking them

Okay, so I'm corny! But you HAVE to listen to this RIGHT HERE, okay?
Things I learned from Noah's Ark...
One: Don't miss the boat.
Two: Remember that we are all in the same boat.
Three: Plan ahead. It wasn't raining when Noah built the Ark.
Four: Stay fit. When you're 600 years old, someone may ask you to do something really big.
Five: Don't listen to critics; just get on with the job that needs to be done.
Six: Build your future on high ground.
Seven: For safety's sake, travel in pairs.
Eight: Speed isn't always an advantage. The snails were on board with the cheetahs.
Nine: When you're stressed, float a while.
Ten: Remember, the Ark was built by amateurs; the Titanic by professionals.
Eleven: No matter the storm, when you are with God, there's always a rainbow waiting.

Okay, I got everything done but the top of this column. What is UP with that??????
Yes, I am making changes. I did not do the design, but the lady who did is the bomb, right?
Does your brain ever get to the point where it works, but kind of at it's own pace. And when you are doing one thing, it goes somewhere else by itself?

I listen to this Radio Station all the time now. It's all talk radio. Christian talk radio. My kids say I'm really getting old now LOLOLOL.

Monday, October 21

If you can start the day without caffeine or pep pills,
If you can be cheerful, ignoring aches and pains,
If you can resist complaining and boring people with your troubles,
If you can eat the same food everyday and be grateful for it,
If you can understand when loved ones are too busy to give you time,
If you can overlook when people take things out on you when,
through no fault of yours, something goes wrong,
If you can take criticism and blame without resentment,
If you can face the world without lies and deceit,
If you can conquer tension without medical help,
If you can relax without liquor,
If you can sleep without the aid of drugs,
If you can do all these things,
Then you are probably the family dog.

Saturday, October 19

I can't even begin to go through all that has happened. Suffice to say, I get too involved with my clients and that I have terrible PMS.

My friend, Robert, brought a woman too me. A (recoverying?) crack head and alcoholic who had a little baby boy with a colostomy bag. She was homeless. I tried all day long to find her and the baby someplace to go. Tampa does NOT have enough homeless shelters! Anyway, it had me all stressed out, I had PMS and something additional happened at work that just about had me totally out of it. First of all, professionally I should not have got so emotionally involved with the woman. I just can't help it. I am emotional. I wear my heart on my sleeve and will probably never be able to be a successful social advocate because of it. I don't know.

The woman turned out to be actively using drugs and drinking. Now her and the baby are out of reach, and I am concerned. What can I do?

Pray.

We're going out to dinner!! na na nu boo boo
BEAUTIFUL PRAYER

I asked God to take away my habit.
God said, No.
It is not for me to take away, but for you to give it up.

I asked God to make my handicapped child whole.
God said, No.
His spirit is whole, his body is only temporary.

I asked God to grant me patience.
God said, No.
Patience is a byproduct of tribulations; it isn't granted, it is
learned.

I asked God to give me happiness.
God said, No.
I give you blessings; Happiness is up to you.

I asked God to spare me pain.
God said, No.
Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and brings
you closer
to me.

I asked God to make my spirit grow.
God said, No.
You must grow on your own, but I will prune you to make you
fruitful.

I asked God for all things that I might enjoy life.
God said, No.
I will give you life, so that you may enjoy all things.

I asked God to help me LOVE others, as much as He
loves me.
God said...Ahhhh, finally you have the idea.

THIS DAY IS YOURS DON'T THROW IT AWAY
May God Bless You,

might be the world"

What Does An Angel Look Like

Like the little old lady who returned your wallet yesterday.

Like the taxi driver who told you that your eyes light up the world.

Like the small child who showed you the wonder in simple things.

Like the poor man who offered to share his lunch with you.

Like the rich man who showed you that it really is possible, if only you believe.

Like the stranger who just happened to come along when you had lost your way.

Like the friend who touched your heart when you didn’t think you had one to touch.

Angels come in all sizes and shapes, all ages and skin types.

Some with freckles, some with dimples, some with wrinkles, some without.

They come disguised as friends, teachers, students, spouses, parents and strangers.

They don’t take life too seriously, they travel light.

They leave no forwarding address; they ask nothing in return.

They wear sneakers with gossamer wings; they get a deal on dry cleaning.

They are hard to find when your eyes are closed, but they are everywhere you look when you choose to see.

Destiny was sick today and the DayCare had me come and get her. First thing she did was throw up in the van. I have Meds for them all though. Strep Throat is a weird thing. You can have a variety of symptoms, and add a severly swollen, infected throat that has the strep bacteria and that's it.

I was able to mow the front lawn, clean the back yard and mow it, plus clean the house, so it was a useful illness LOLOLOL. I wish I had gotten so school work done, but I wasn't in the mood. Maybe later this evening or tomorrow. It will be done by the time I go to school this week end.

The yard work I did, Leroy should have done. I am not going to worry about it though. I'm cooking now. Chicken. Think I will do yellow rice and some type of green veggie and a salad. Hmmmm.....I think I will do Jello right now so it will be ready.

Sunday, October 6

I had a fight with Leroy. It's too long a story to put down here, but I am convinced that Satan (yes the guy in the red suit and horns **if that's the way you want to see him**) is using our neighbor across the street to destroy our marriage. Months now, Leroy spends almost ALL his free time helping this man do something. I can't even discribe to what degree it is. No one would believe me. Something is seriously wrong, and I have tried everything from promising to nagging to get it to stop and it hasn't.

I have to go get Jake from work. This sucks.
I have done a new page for the cute stuff I am collecting. Click here to go there.
Jamila has Strep throat. We were in the Emergency room at 3 a.m. At least the Doc gave me scripts for all!
School today, it was good

NEW HEAVY ELEMENT

A major research institution has recently announced the discovery of the heaviest element yet known to science. This new element has been named “Administratium.”

Administratium has 1 neutron, 12 assistant neutrons, 75 deputy neutrons, and 224 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312. These 312 particles are held together by a force called morons, which are surrounded by a vast quantity of lemming-like particles called peons. Since Administratium has no electrons, it is inert. However, it can be detected, as it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact. A minute amount of Administratium causes one reaction to take over 4 days to complete, when it would normally occur in less than 1 hour. Administratium has a normal half-life of three years. It does not decay, but instead undergoes a transformation called “reorganization”, in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and assistant deputy neutrons exchange places. In fact, Administratium’s mass actually increases over time, since each reorganization causes some morons to become neutrons, forming isodopes. This characteristic of moron promotion leads some scientists to speculate that Administratium is formed whenever and wherever morons reach a certain quantity and concentration.

This hypothetical quantity is referred to as “Critical Morass.”

You will know it when you see it.

Oh.............did I tell you............I totally quite smoking. No cigs, no cigs, no cigs.

I also got my front teeth whittled down and pretty ones put on top of them. Now if I could loose this extra 50 pounds, I would be alright!

I am doing my CV work out, 30 minutes at a time, about 4 or 5 times a week. Lifting weights too! I have totally stopped taking all Tylenol and Advil and stuff like that.......................you know what...........I'm living through it...LOLOLOLOL.

Hot dogs and french fries for dinner. Going to the jail tonight to do the AA thing. Really getting into church. LOVE the Bible study stuff!! Have papers to write for school............I'm gone
I didn't write it, I just agree with it............

I'm reading more and dusting less. I'm sitting in the yard and admiring the view without fussing about the weeds in the garden. I'm spending more time with my family and friends and less time working. Whenever possible, life should be a pattern of experiences to savor, not to endure.
I'm trying to recognize these moments now and cherish them.
I'm not "saving" anything; I use my good china and
crystal for every special event such as losing a pound, getting the sink unstopped, or the first Amaryllis blossom.
I wear my good blazer to the market. My theory is if I
look prosperous, I can shell out $28.49 for one small bag of groceries.
I'm not saving my good perfume for special parties, but wearing it for clerks in the hardware store and tellers at
the bank.
"Someday" and "one of these days" are losing their grip on my vocabulary. If it's worth seeing or hearing or doing, I want to see and hear and do it now.
I'm not sure what others would've done had they known they wouldn't be here for the tomorrow that we all take for granted.
I think they would have called family members and a few close friends. They might have called a few former friends to apologize and mend fences for past squabbles. I like to think they would have gone out for a Chinese dinner or for whatever their favorite food was.
I'm guessing; I'll never know.
It's those little things left undone that would make me angry if I knew my hours were limited. Angry because I hadn't written certain letters that I intended to write one of these days.

Angry and sorry that I didn't tell my family and parents often enough how much I truly love them. I'm trying very hard not to put off, hold back, or save anything that would add laughter and luster to our lives. And every morning when I open my eyes, tell myself that it is special. Every day, every minute, every breath truly is a gift from God.

"People say true friends must always hold hands, but true friends don't need to hold hands because they know the other hand will always be there."
I don't believe in Miracles. I rely on them.

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.

"There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle. " - Albert Einstein (1879-1955)
