Here it is: Grandma's Banana-Nut Bread (the BEST)
2 C Flour
1 tsp.baking soda
1/2 C shortening
1 C Sugar
2 Eggs
3 Very Ripe Bananas (turning black)
2 Tbsp.Buttermilk
1/2 C chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350,
Sift flour and soda together. Cream softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat eggs in a small bowl, then add to creamed mixture. Mash bananas very well, then add to creamed mixture. Add buttermilk and flour alternately, then stir in the nuts. Pour batter into greased loaf pan, and bake at 350 degrees for one hour. Best served piping hot with real butter!
