Pulling for Progress
I am teaching my Hillsborough Community College class for noncustodial parents this week. It sometimes amazes, but should not suprise me how talented some of these young men are. For example, check this out.

This is good............
One evening, after attending the theater, two gentlemen were walking
down the avenue when they observed a rather well dressed and attractive
young lady walking ahead of them.
One of them turned to the other and remarked, "I'd give $250.00 to
spend the night with that woman."
Much to their surprise, the young lady overheard the remark, turned
around, and replied, "I'll take you up on that offer."
She had a neat appearance and a pleasant voice, so after bidding
his companion good night, the man accompanied the young lady to her
apartment.
The following morning the man presented her with $125.00 as he
prepared to leave. She demanded the rest of the money, stating "If
you don't give me the other $125.00, I'll sue you for it."
He laughed, saying "I'd like to see you get it on these grounds."
Within a few days, he was surprised when he received a summons
ordering his presence in court as a defendant in a lawsuit. He hurried
to his lawyer and explained the details of the case.
His lawyer said, "She can't possibly get a judgment against you on
such grounds, but it will be interesting to see how her case will be
presented."
After the usual preliminaries, the lady's lawyer addressed the court
as follows:
"Your honor, my client, this lady, is the owner of a piece of
property, a garden spot, surrounded by a profuse growth of shrubbery,
which property she agreed to rent to the defendant for a specified
length of time for the sum of $250.00. The defendant took possession
of the property, used it extensively for the purposes for which it was
rented, but upon vacating the premises, he paid only $125.00, one-half
of the amount agreed upon.
The rent was not excessive, since it is restricted property, and we ask
judgment be granted against the defendant to assure payment of the
balance."
The defendant's lawyer was impressed and amused by the way his
opponent had presented the case. His defense, therefore was somewhat
different from the way he originally planned to present it. "Your honor,"
he said, "my client agrees that the lady has a fine piece of property,
that he did rent such property for a time, and a degree of pleasure was
derived from the transaction. However, my client found a well on the
property around which he placed his own stones, sunk a shaft, and
erected a pump, all labor performed personally by him. We claim these improvements to the property were sufficient to offset the unpaid amount,
and that the plaintiff was adequately compensated for the rental of said
property. We, therefore, ask that judgment not be granted."
The young lady's lawyer answered, "Your honor, my client agrees
that the defendant did find a well on her property. However, had the
defendant not known that the well existed, he would never have rented
the property. Also, upon evacuating the premises, the defendant
removed the stones, pulled out the shaft, and took the pump with
him. In doing so, he not only dragged the equipment through the
shrubbery, but left the hole much larger than it was prior to his
occupancy, making the property much less desirable to others.
We, therefore, ask that judgment be granted."
In the Judge's decision, he provided for two options: "Pay the
$125.00 or have the equipment detached from it's current location
and provide it to the plaintiff for damages."

Why, when I am full is mind still hungry for food. I want to quit smoking soon. Wonder how fat I will get then. I don't really mind being the size I am--195 and size 14-16. I could lose some weight, quite a bit really, but I don't feel bad about myself. I don't want to get bigger though LOLOLOL.
I am doing my best to get Jake caught up with work from school. Lots of folks would tell me to just let him fall or stand on his own. If I did, he would fall. PERIOD! I have to push and push and push, but it gets done. I hope when he gets grown, he appreciates his bossy Moma. It's just my way of helping. Some folks do it other ways. You see I try to let him do it on his own, but I won't allow it to go so far that he fails.
George and Jamila are doing well in school. Leighanne will have to repeat the first grade, but that's okay. It will do her good and you have to remember she had brain damage when she was born. Weighed one pound, 3 ounces. Was in the neo-natal ICU for 4 months. She is my miracle baby.
Destiny will be smart, you can tell. She starts Kindergarten year after next.

My Job
You know I get a lot of satisfaction out of my job. Especially if I am doing a GOOD job at it. Today, I have invoicing to do from two contracts; which requires a lot of attention to detail. The I have to research and write a section of a grant we are trying to get for job creation and placement in the inner city.
Now that I am no longer on that freakin' PEG treatment for my Hep C, I can think again. I wasn't even able to do one thing at a time, and was totally unable to multi-task. I like to be able to do my job well, and run my house well. I don't mind this carpal tunnel and pinched nerves in my neck nearly as much as I did just not being able to THINK.
I have to teach my Steppin' Stones -- Job Readiness/Life Skills Training next week at Hillsborough Community College for the noncustodial parent in the Pulling for Progress Class. After my class, they will be taught to do cable installation and be able to make enough money to pay their child support and live. It's really a great program!!

ARE YOU A REASON,
A SEASON, OR A LIFETIME?
Pay attention to what you read. People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you figure out which one it is, you will know what to do for each person.
When someone is in your life for a REASON. . . It is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend, and they are! They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part, or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered. And now it is time to move on.
Then people come into your life for a SEASON. Because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They bring you an experience of peace, or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.
LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons: things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person, and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.
Thank you for being a part of my life.
Work like you don't need the money.
Love like you've never been hurt.
And dance like no one is watching.

I love the month of May! Not only is it spring, but Mother's Day is in May and my birthday is May 20th. Top that off with Memorial Day weekend and it has to be the best month of the year!
My life is SO back to normal. Folks really need to learn to appreciate normal days and feeling good. I know I didn't before, now I DO!
Everything is going well with the kids. As I mentioned, we went camping this last weekend. My air mattress had a hole in it, so I didn't sleep well, but we had a good time anyway. On the way home we bought the kids a large pool at WalMart. It is 10 foot across and 2.5 ft. deep. They love it. We blocked half the back yard so Molly the Dog can't get to it!!!
Speaking of Molly...........we had her spaded recently, and yesterday we had to bomb the house for fleas. We gave her two good flea baths this week, and of course she uses the junk from the Vet. Leroy went to Home Depot and bought stuff for the yard yesterday and some Bahalia Seed. We have NO grass.
Sunday we are going to my Dad's for his 1st Anniversary party. Any suggestions on a gift????? Email me!!!!
MAY IS HEPATITIS MONTH!!!! Educate yourself. Get tested!!!

Busy
I went to the First Ladies Prayer Brunch today. It was great. Govenor Bush was there, and a man who does relief work in Afganistan, and a widow of one of the passengers that died Sept. 11. They all spoke. I enjoyed it.
We had a great weekend too. I have some computer work to do when I get home so hopefully I will be able to share that then.

I really like gadgets, electronics, etc.
4. Have you ever turned a hobby into a moneymaking opportunity?
I teach beginner computer to folks occasionally.
5. Besides web-related stuff (burbs, rings, etc.), what clubs do you belong to?

2. There's always a lot to be thankful for if you take time to
look for it. For example I am sitting here thinking how nice it
is that wrinkles don't hurt.
3. When I'm feeling down, I like to whistle. It makes the neighbor's
dog run to the end of his chain and gag himself.
4. If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.
5. Don't assume malice for what stupidity can explain.
6. A penny saved is a government oversight.
7. The real art of conversation is not only to say the right thing at
the right time, but also to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the
tempting moment.
8. The older you get, the tougher it is to lose weight, because by
then your body and your fat are really good friends.
9. The easiest way to find something lost around the house is to buy
a replacement.
10. He who hesitates is probably right.
11. If you think there is good in everybody, you haven't met
everybody.
12. If you can smile when things go wrong, you have someone in
mind to blame.
13. The sole purpose of a child's middle name is so he can tell
when he's really in trouble.

Well, I am back to normal ladies and gentlement. No freakin' pills, no craziness, no BS. Just by the grace of God, of course!! Went to see the Liver Doc yesterday. I told him I was not interested in any other treatments. I WILL NOT go through that junk anymore, and that's a fact.
Hopefully work will get back ot normal soon. My boss has been acting kind of weird. Then I guess I should consider, I have been acting REALLY WEIRD for six months.
You know those drug companies are making a fortune, and folks are having a really rough time. We take that poison out of desparation, but I want to tell you..........I AIN'T THAT FRIGGIN' DESPERATE!

How true this is!
Hail to Girlfriends!
Get Yourself Some Girlfriends...
Young and newly married, I relaxed under a pecan tree on a hot
Texas summer day, drinking iced tea and getting to know my new
sister-in-law, Estelle. Not much older than I, but already the mother
of three, Estelle seemed to me experienced and wise.
"Get yourself some girlfriends" she advised, clinking the ice
cubes in her glass. "You are going to need girlfriends. Go places
with them; do things with them."
What a funny piece of advice, I thought. Hadn't I just gotten
married? Hadn't I just joined the couple-world? I was a married
woman, for goodness sake, not a young girl who needed girlfriends.
But I listened to this new sister-in-law. I got myself some
girlfriends.
As the years tumbled by, one after another, gradually I came to
understand that Estelle knew what she was talking about. I remembered
that she had said the word "girlfriends" with emphasis.
As I went along, I discovered the subtle difference between friends
and girlfriends. You go to work with friends, go to dinner with friends,
go to church
with friends, belong to clubs with friends. You send friends greeting
cards. You need friends in
your life; all girlfriends were once only friends.
But a girlfriend is different. I offer this praise of girlfriends.
Here is what I know about girlfriends:
Girlfriends don't compete.
Girlfriends bring casseroles and scrub your bathroom when you are sick.
Girlfriends keep your children, and keep your secrets.
Girlfriends give advice when you ask for it.
Sometimes you take it, sometimes you don't.
Girlfriends don't always tell you that you're right, but they're always
honest.
Girlfriends still love you, even when they don't agree with your
choices.
Girlfriends might send you a birthday card, but they might not. It does
not matter in the least. Girlfriends laugh with you and you don't need
canned jokes to start the laughter.
Girlfriends don't talk about you behind your back.
Girlfriends pull you out of jams.
Girlfriends don't keep a calendar that lets them know who hosted the
other last.
Girlfriends will give a party for your son or daughter when they get
married or have a baby in
whichever order that comes!
And girlfriends are there for you, in an instant
and truly, when the hard times come.
Girlfriends listen when you lose a job or a husband.
Girlfriends listen when your children break your heart.
Girlfriends listen when your parents' minds and bodies fail.
My girlfriends bless my life. Once we were young, with no idea of
the incredible joys or the
incredible sorrows that lay ahead. Nor did we know how much we would
need each other. I want to tell younger women to take my
sister-in-law's advice. Get yourself some girlfriends. You are going
to need them

And this too shall pass............everything passes you know. Whether it is good or bad, it will change. I am as back to normal as I'm gonna get right now. I have had insomnia for the past week. I am getting about 3 hours of sleep a night, but I don't feel too bad. I only worked half days for the past two days and I took the whole Monday off. I thought if I came home early, I might be able to rest. All I really want to do is clean house, but I'm mainly too tired.....LOLOL.
No pills PERIOD, Praise God!! We are having some friends over Saturday, camping Saturday night at Ft. De Soto park, and going to an AA picnic that lasts all day that Sunday.

Oxycontin Detox
It was a lot rougher than I first thought. I actually went to the Emergency Room yesterday morning, but didn't stay. Sleep is still hard, nerves twitch, muscles jump. I am going to work a half day today though. Go to my noon mtg and then rest the afternoon.
I will be so glad when things are back to normal.

Out of Ambien now too. Last two at 4 a.m. Went walking with my husband Leroy this morning. First time I have felt like even getting off the couch in months lolololol!
Took all my vitamins this morning. Kind of tired. I'm makin' a pot of coffee. Jake is taking Lee Lee and Destiny to church. I'm listing to my music channel on Launch Cast

Forgot to tell ya
I forgot to say that (although I had not been taking them at ALL) I had another prescription for Ambien and I had Leroy get them to go through this week. I have been taking them to help as I cut down on the oxycontin. Today, I have NO oxycontin. So far so good, but it is only 7:15 a.m. LOLOLOL. I am drinking a diet Pepsi and have taken two Excedrin for Migrane. They have caffenine in them, so maybe I can perk up. I do have the Ambien here to fall back on, but I don't feel like I will need them. I also don't feel like a major house cleaning day though either LOLOLOL.
I am a little scared and don't know what to expect. A prayer or two might help if you get around to it.

Tell me if this makes sense. The kid across the street wanted Leroy to take him to cash his check but couldn't find his ID. I told Leroy that that was okay, for the kid to just sign the check, Leroy to sign the check, deposit the check into our account and take the money out. We needed to get some cash anyway. BUT the kids MoM wanted to write us a personal check. So in effect she wanted us to take him to their bank deposit the check and cash the personal check. We would still need to go to our bank and get cash that we need. I was out side and told them this didn't make sense, just cash the check for him and get out money. She acted all weird, called the kid back in, now Leroys says I should not have said anything.
For one thing, those people are constantly having Leroy DO for them. It's a daily process, and I am getting freakin' sick of it and them. And Leroy OF COURSE does not see my point. They are all freakin' nuts if you ask me. What do you think?
Oh..........I feel great again!!! Love being off the treatment. I was teaching a class all this week and that's why I haven't blogged. I am working my way off these pain pills now. I got from 80 mg of oxycontin a day to 40, and now I am going to go cold turkey. Wonder what will happen ;-)?!?!?!

Splints
Well I have splints on both my arms now. I guess that's what 10 years of full time computer use will get you.
I stopped taking my Ambian. I don't sleep as well, but I feel much better in the day time. Less depressed and even less pain. I would not recommend that medication.
My days are going by smoother, but I am still waiting for the results of my viral load test to find out whether all these month of treatment have put my Hepatitis C into remission. I think I may be able to handle another 6 months of treatment if I am in remission. A couple of weeks ago, I didn't feel that way.

My boss is out this week............
I have managed to get a ton of work done though. I believe by the end of the day, my "to do" box should be empty, and I have a training to go to tomorrow.
I had an arguement with Leroy last night. I have REALLY been trying not to "get loud" with him lately, but every night he has someplace to go and ends up staying 2 or 3 hours. I don't think he is doing anything really wrong, but I just get tired of being left alone. Last night he had to go deposit and check and instead of going to the bank right by the house he went way across town, because he said the other ATM machine was exposed and he didn't want to get wet (it was raining). I called him and bitched a little and when he got home he came in and was LOUD saying he didn't think he had to report his whereabouts, etc. So I got LOUD back at him.
I don't know.....................there is TONS of stuff that needs to be done around the house, that does not get done. Stupid stuff really, but I don't like living in a house with a dirty yard, and closet doors that aren't attached. Oh well.................

I got a call from my regular Doc yesterday and they are going to give me braces for my arms. The nerve conduction study they did showed I had carpal tunnel, as I have said, and pinched nerves. All I know is that my hands and arms hurt, go numb, and don't always work. It won't kill me though, so I'll be okay.
We are going to church on Sunday at a friends church and then afterwards to his house to swim and fellowship with other folks. Lots of children, and some other friends from my "program" (see link to 12 step program to the right). It should be fun, and I know the children will enjoy the pool. I am usually not a vain woman, but I wish I still had that 20 pounds off I regained lately (said as I bite a donut) lolololol

Well, last Friday I went and took my viral load test and I am waiting to hear back from the Liver Doc to see if this 6 months worth of treatment and HORRIBLE side effects has done me any good.
I totally stopped taking my Ambien about a week ago, and I seem to be perking up some. Funny, I didn't realize that they might be making me feel bad.
Leroy is having a lot of problems with his allergies and he will probably need to go back to school to learn a new trade. He is a heavy equipment operator and the dirt and stuff is REALLY effecting him badly.
We heard from Joy on Easter. I guess she plans to just stay out there in Oregon. Destiny is always talking about her, and it makes me feel bad. One thing about it though, we truly love Destiny and I truly believe we are providing the best home for her that she could have.

Life has been crazy here. Leroy's wedding ring and gold nugget ring has come up missing. I am thinking and hoping it is just lost, but who the heck knows.
TODAY IS LEROY'S 50TH BIRTHDAY!!! We went out to the Frontier Steak house with my Dad last night and it was lovely. I bought Leroy a pair of Wolverine steel toe work boots. I got them on sale for a hundred bucks!! I am calling all over now trying to get a cake made with construction stuff on it. I waiting til the last minute as usual!

Blogging
A friend of mine asked me in an email if I had stopped blogging. I guess I haven't been writing nearly as much on here as I used to. Life has been really busy though.
I lost the funding for one position at work, and those responsibilites just fell right in my lap. So, I have to do my orignial job, plus the other one. I always think I can do it ALL, but I have found out I can't.
Additionally, I really have been sick lately. As you may know, I have been on what is called "the PEG combo" for my Hep C and Cirrhosis for about 6 months now. It has literally been KICKING MY ASS. Worst part about it is, I won't even find out if it is going to do any good until next month, if it is......I have to take it another 6 months. If not.......I have been through 6 months of HELL for nothing.
I had to leave work today because I was in so much pain. I had been out of pain pills since yesterday morning. I went by and picked them up, now I am okay for a while. I REALLY should go back to work, but I have quite a bit I can accomplish here, so I will. I don't know how much of this junk an employer can take, but I appreciate them being tolerant with me. In response I will be the most loyal employee they have, and that's a FACT.
Well, my arm is going numb..............I know it's not call "corporal" tunnel, what is it called??? Email me and let me know, okay?

I like this new Indredimail program that I am using now for email. It allows you to send cute little emails with art and sound, etc.
I took an extra of my Abian last night because they had not been working, any way...................... had some of the best sleep I have had in years.
I have been thinking about my Mother SO much lately. The wonderful things I remember, not the negative.....There was a movie on the Morning about Tammy Wynette and that is what really got me started to day.

Habitat is giving us some great tile so we can tile the rest of the rooms in the house. I'm looking forward to that. I already got the tile for our bathroom, it's black. My theme there is black and Gold.

I have not had time to say a word in here, I have been so busy, but there is a cute story I want to tell real fast.
Our dog Molly, who is the cutest thing in the world, has a new buddy. Destiny has an Elmo doll that says "Elmo love you" among other things when you squeeze his belly. Molly carries Elmo around the the house with her mouth around Elmo's belly, squeezing it to make it talk. Molly has not torn Elmo up, just carries him around squeezing his belly.

There was a great sale a Eckerds today. I got two 100 ounce bottles of Tide for ten bucks and 3 12 packs of Coke products for 5.98. You can't beat that!!
Joy called yesterday to talk to Destiny on her birthday. She called later as well and was saying things like I'm your real Mommy and do you miss me? And don't you wanna come live with Mommy? This type of thing upsets and confuses Destiny. I thought Joy and I had gotten to a decent point in our relationship, but I guess not.
Looks like it will be Pancakes, eggs, and bacon for dinner. How does that sound?

DESTINY'S BIRTHDAY!!!

Jamila stuck a pencil in her eye yesterday, and just by the grace of God she didn't blind herself. I took her to USF Pediatrics and they referred her to an eye specialist and she saw an eye surgeon. The were all prepared to admit her into the hospital and they changed their mind and decided to wait a week and see if it would work it's way out. I took a picture of her eye and will show you soon.
TODAY IS DESTINY'S BIRTHDAY. She is 4 years old!!!! We are having a little party and I am going to put picture of that up soon too.
I am surviving. I have quite tripping about dying. The Doctors says I need more sleep LOLOLOL. I get kind of crazy sometimes!

Well, I had a space after each .gif on these letters. A very nice lady wrote me about another possibility and got me to look at them again, so now it works.
I found a new email system that is pretty cool, and I will put a link to it on there later today hopefully. We had a decent week end. I had a pretty rough Saturday physically, but Sunday was better and I am taking it one day at a time. I did get all my computer work, banking, etc. done this weekend and there was a lot to do. My work at home is about 4 hours a week and I don't always feel like doing it. I got it done though!!!!
I am going to call the cemetary down the road and see what I need to do about getting stuff prepaid. I know a lot of folks think that is morbid, but it has to be done sometime, and now is a good time. I also think it important that I tell someone if I pass away unexpectedly that I want my household to stay the way it is. I want Leroy to keep the kids and everything to stay the same. Of course, it would not be just the same, but it is important that the kids stay with Leroy and all of them stay together in that house. I believe in being practical, and in planning. I can just see Leroy if something should happen to me, he would be running around in cirlces. My baby just is NOT the planner in the family.

Why
I will have to go to my blog after I publish this note, but I believe I have been blogging for almost a year now. I have learned a lot about web site publication, met some absolutely wonderful people, and made a lot of personal changes myself in the past year. I have quite drinking, discovered I have severe health problems, started treatment for that, began my 12 step program, and made some very positive changes to myself as a person. My older daughter has moved as far away from me as she can get, and had a baby. We've gotten a dog, which is almost the first animal I have had strong feelings for and I have started learning how to enjoy my life.
All in all, it has been a good year. I will be 42 this year in May and next month my husband, Leroy, will be 50. I probably love him more now that I even did a year ago, because through it all.........he has stuck by me and I have been through a lot with the Hep C Cirrhosis treatment I am on. It's called Pegalatyed Interferon and Ribavirin.
God has blessed me and my family. Thank you Lord.

Can you believe it, I am cooking through all this.
I'm really not in that bad a shape for not having my pain pills. Exhausted would be the word. When I move, my joints feel like they are cracking apart, but that is not really that bad. As I type, my left arm is going numb and tingling, but that is not unusual.
I had Jamila and Lee Lee clean the chicken for me, and I stuck it in the oven with seasoning salt on it. I don't have any canned black beans, but I will still make yellow rice. We have a weavil attack on our dry goods cabinent and I don't know why or what to do about it. Email me if you know, okay?

Unique Position
I was reading a bulliten board yesterday about "Should there be a Black History Month". I find myself in a very unique position here. I can see all sides, and I think everyone has a right to their opinion. I read a lot of stuff I considered ignorant, but who am I too judge anyone. You may think my opinion is ignorant too.
Here are the points I read and my opinion:
Should there be a Black History Month? ----------------- Black history and contributions of blacks to history should be taught every month. So should contributions and all races and ethnic groups. Classrooms should be taught on a global perspective.
If there was an asssocation or a month for the betterment of whites, it would be considered racist.---------------- Yes, it would. Is that right? Hell, I don't know. I think "help" organizations that are formed should not be restricted to any race or ethnicity.
White folks don't need their own help organizations, they already have it made.--------------Racism still exists in America, I know that. Yet I have found that the most prevelant discrimination comes from classism. I do think we have kind of a double standard though when it comes to people starting groups for, or too assist, folks of their own color or ethnic group. We have the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People......a wonderful organization that was created to assist black people, BUT if someone started the National Association for the Advancement of White People...people would be outraged.
When I went to community college, there were scholorships available to minorities that I did not have access to. I thought I should have had access to those funds as well.
Now, you may know, some of my children are biracial. When it comes down to legally indicating their race, I make sure they are listed as black..................because I know there is more help and funds available to minorities. In addition to this I have two white children, so that means there will be scholorships and other assistance available to one of my sons, but not the other. So who has the advantage? My white son because he is white or my black son because he is black.

Work
I don't know if I blogged about this, but this year I lost funding for a position. That means the girl who was helping the Walk In clients at work find jobs no longer has that position. So, who do you think has that position.......they just added the work load to mine. I enjoy working with clients, but having to work with clients, maintain that documentation, and do my regular work, has been a big task. Don't forget my health isn't the best either. You can see where I work by going to the CDC of Tampa, Inc. website. I maintain it too, but I haven't had time to make the changes I want to. There is an icon at the top that says Economic Development and then a link to the Career Resource Center. That is the program I coordinate.
Also, I just got a new digital camera at work. I finally caught up with enough work to open the box today and I am charging the batteries. I will be adding a lot of new pictures to the site now. Plus I can always take a picture or two at home I assume.
I have lots of new pictures developed and on CD, but have not had the energy to put them up here. I really want to show everyone our dog Molly. I really love this dog, and it's unusual for me to take to animals so much. She is so smart though, and lovable.
I layed out turkey ham for dinner, but I don't really feel like cooking....................
I have to go to the regular Doctor tomorrow. My have been having night sweats and hot flashes. My Hep C treatment may have screwed up my hormones and put me into menopause. I am also having tingling and numbness on the top of my left arm including my thumb and my two first fingers.

Leroy Jr.
What a great weekend we had. Leroy Sr. had to work Saturday, so Leroy Jr. hung out with me. Jake was going to be in the Gasparilla parade, so we gave him a ride over to where he was going to meet the folks, then we went grocery shopping. It really gave us the opportunity to talk and get to know one another. It was wonderful!!
The meal he cooked Saturday was better than my cooking!! We've got some left overs so I guess the fella's will heat that up tonight because I have to teach an hour long computer class starting at 6:00.
The Rec Center the kids go to after school had a Super Bowl party thing yesterday, and we went to that. They bar b qed and the whole works. I stayed from 3 until about 6 but then I had to go home and get in bed. I take my pain pills the way I am suppose to now, and for the most part they are very effective. I can work well and my mind stays pretty clear, but when I have to do "extra" stuff I get VERY tired and have to go to bed. Overall though, the meds keep me going.
Well, I have to go get money out of the ATM. I had a friend of mine at AA fix one of Leroy's rings and clean it up. He only takes cash, but it's only 10 dollars.

Leroy's son is up for the weekend! It's greating having him. Leroy had to work today, so we were able to talk and get to know each other a little bit better. I enjoyed the day.
I conned him into cooking dinner too, so that will work out.......bar b q chicken, yellow rice, salad, bisquits, green beans with bacon, macaroni and cheese............the way it's smelling around here we will be grubbing soon!
